Sheamus delivers yet another banger at WWE Extreme Rules.
WWE’s Extreme Rules premium live event opened with the six-man Good Ole Fashioned Donnybrook match pitting The Brawling Brutes against Imperium. The bout occupied the first half hour of the event and was full of weapons including barrels, tables, shillelaghs, and more.
In the closing minutes, Butch and Ridge Holland held GUNTHER as Sheamus hit him in the head with a shillelagh. Sheamus put GUNTHER through a table with a Celtic Cross before hitting Giovanni Vinci with a Brogue Kick to secure the three-count. The victory allowed Sheamus a bit of redemption after recently losing two Intercontinental Championship matches to GUNTHER.

THE GOOD OLD FASHION DONNYBROOK MATCH: THE BRAWLING BRUTES VS. IMPERIUM
As the Brawling Brutes are making their way to the ring, another White Rabbit video takes over the broadcast. When the broadcast cuts back to the ring, no one mentions what happened. As soon as the bell rings all four men brawl. Holland and Butch double team Kaiser. Sheamus and Holland hold Kaiser in place with a weapon as Butch lands a dropkick in the corner. GUNTHER clotheslines Butch. IMPERIUM clears the ring. GUNTHER destroys the bar at ringside and the picture of Sheamus’ grandfather.
Sheamus leaps on GUNTHER. Kaiser and Vinci hold Sheamus against the bar as GUNTHER unloads with chop after chop. IMPERIUM slams Sheamus on the bar. Butch tries to rally, but Kaiser and Vinci stomp a hole in him. Holland hits the ring and lifts up both Vinci and Kaiser for a sidewalk slam. GUNTHER boots him in the face. Vinci and Kaiser hit the Imperial Bomb on Holland outside the ring. IMPERIUM beats down Butch. Sheamus reemerges and sends Kaiser and Vinci into the barricade.
GUNTHER screams for Sheamus to get in the ring. Sheamus and GUNTHER trade blows. Sheamus hits the ten beats. Sheamus Brogue Kicks GUNTHER. Vinci breaks up the pin with a springboard splash. Holland escapes the Imperial Bomb. Kaiser dives into a flying elbow from Butch. GUNTHER dropkicks Holland and Butch. Sheamus hits the Irish curse. Cloverleaf by Sheamus. Kaiser breaks it up with a shillelagh shot to the back.
Everyone is down. GUNTHER and Sheamus go nose-to-nose. Both men trade shots. Everyone lands a big move in the ring. Sheamus lands a high knee to GUNTHER. Vinci pulls Sheamus off of GUNTHER to break up the pin. Butch dives off a bunch of barrels and takes out Kaiser and Vinci with a moonsault. GUNTHER grabs another shillelagh and hits Sheamus in the head with it. Sheamus kicks out.
GUNTHER sets up a powerbomb. Holland and Butch break it up by snapping GUNTHER’s fingers. Butch and Holland hold GUNTHER as Sheamus hits him in the head with a shillelagh. Sheamus puts GUNTHER through a table with a Celtic Cross. Sheamus Brogue Kicks Vinci for the win.
