With WWE Extreme Rules being held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania last night, the home of WrestleMania 40 in 2024, the company decided to unveil the logo for the event.
Jerry Lawler had the help of cheerleaders from the Eagles and 76ers, a pair of pro sports teams from the city. Billboards were also erected around the city showcasing the new logo.
The logo features the Liberty Bell, a staple in Philadelphia, along with the green shade to match the Eagles, an NFL team from Philly. Along with those touches, roman numerals make their return to the logo, with the XL on the bell indicating 40.
WrestleMania 40 will take place Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7, 2024 live from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. Next year’s WrestleMania, WrestleMania 39, will be held at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California on April 1-2, 2023.
