Wardlow is happy to see The Acclaimed making wrestling cool again.
Wardlow is always talking about how he wants to bring wrestling back to prominence, specifically saying that he’s trying to be the reason that the female viewership goes up for AEW.
Another act in AEW trying to bring wrestling back to the forefront of pop culture is The Acclaimed, Max Caster and Anthony Bowens. The acclaimed has gotten many people in the world to admit that they love scissoring one another, so much so that the Philadelphia Phillies were even scissoring in celebration of their recent victory.
Speaking on ESPR Wrestling, Wardlow says that he is grateful that they are helping him make wrestling cool again and also says that he believes scissoring will never stop.

“So I feel like the best things happen organically. So like the scissoring thing. Me with the powerbomb symphony, I kind of orchestrate the crowd while they chant ‘one more time,’ you know, and they wave their hands around. So stuff like that. The fact that it’s happening with like pro athletes, I feel like we haven’t seen that in a really long time. I don’t think anybody in pro wrestling has had that type of connection, where like, somebody scores a touchdown and does you know John Cena’s whatever — yeah to see somebody doing the scissoring, I was so excited to see that and hopefully, we see much more.
“I’ve always said one of my ultimate goals was just to make wrestling cool again like because when I was growing up everybody was talking about it. All the kids in school, even the teachers, like it was the cool thing. So that is a huge goal of mine. But thank you, Max Caster and Anthony Bowens for assisting and helping make wrestling cool again… Scissoring will never stop, at this point. It’s like DX now”
