On October 26, New Japan Pro-Wrestling continued its Battle Autumn tour with a ninth night of action from Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
The eventful show aired on NJPW World, and it featured two matches in the NJPW WORLD TV Championship Tournament. Plus, The Great Muta made a surprising appearance. He spit mist in Great-O-Khan’s face and helped Yano win the bout. Backstage, Muta stated that he wants to team up with Yano and Kazuchika Okada to battle Great-O-Khan at NJPW x Stardom Historic X-Over on November 20.

Yano and Narita advanced to the quarterfinals of the NJPW WORLD TV Championship tournament, which will continue on October 27. Yano will face Narita at the NJPW Battle Autumn event on October 30. Elsewhere in the quarterfinals, KENTA will battle SANAD, EVIL will clash with YOSHI-HASHI, and David Finlay will take on Zack Sabre. Jr.
