Grayson Waller is putting the “Grayson Waller Effect” into motion.

On the November 1st episode of WWE NXT, R-Truth returned to the brand to face rising star Grayson Waller. At one point, the former 24/7 Champion attempted to take a dive into Waller but landed roughly on the outside floor. WWE officials tended to Truth as he clutched his leg, but the match was effectively called off. Therefore, the referee declared Waller the victor, as R-Truth limped to the back with medical staff.

Later on a WWE Digital Exclusive, Waller assumed a verbal and physical confrontation with the veteran’s beloved imaginary friend, Little Jimmy. Filmed from the backstage locker room area, Waller ultimately launched Truth’s friend into a nearby locker before aggressively shutting it behind him. Waller then mocked Truth’s reported leg injury.

“You wanna say Grayson Waller is not safe, huh?” he said. “Getting in the ring with Grayson Waller is never safe, ’cause what I do is I hurt people. It doesn’t matter where you’re from, I run this house, lad. And that, is the Grayson Waller effect. What’s up?”

In recent weeks, R-Truth has resurfaced on RAW and NXT programming. First, he emerged when The Miz spat with Johnny Gargano, as “Johnny Wrestling” demanded that the “A-Lister” tell “the truth.” R-Truth also appeared on NXT, believing he was the special guest host of the Halloween edition of NXT. Most recently, Truth interrupted Baron Corbon on Monday Night RAW, later suffering a loss to the “Modern Day Wrestling God.”  The next day, he would wrestle Waller before suffering an unfortunate leg injury.

As of this writing, WWE has not released any official statement regarding the status of R-Truth’s reported injury. WrestleZone will provide updates as more information becomes available.
