The Elite Return, Lose To Death Triangle At AEW Full Gear

The Elite returned at AEW Full Gear, but they didn’t leave with the gold.

Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks made their awaited return in the second match at Full Gear to challenge Death Triangle for the titles they never lost – the AEW World Trios Championship. After much speculation about how they would enter, The Elite made their way out to Kansas’ “Carry On Wayward Son,” however there may not have been peace when all was said and done.

In the final moments, The Elite hit the BTE Trigger for a near fall. Nick Jackson stopped PAC from using the bell hammer on Omega before Matt dove out onto PAC and Penta at ringside. In the ring, Fenix utilized PAC’s hammer and hit Omega before Omega could connect with One-Winged Angel. Fenix rolled Omega through into the cover to secure the three-count. As a result, Death Triangle’s reign as AEW World Trios Champions continues, while the night of The Elite’s return ended on a bittersweet note.
