Brian Pillman Jr. Responds To Comments About William Regal’s Advice Not Being Appreciated

Brian Pillman Jr. responds to comments regarding William Regal‘s advice not being appreciated by some of the talent in All Elite Wrestling.

On December 4, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that Regal is “effectively done” in AEW. Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported that Regal is finalizing a new deal with WWE. Since then, the wrestling world has been buzzing about the situation.

In a tweet, Justin LaBar, who often appears on Busted Open Radio and podcasts for Wrestling Inc., responded to EC3’s comments that Regal had an issue with some in the locker room. LaBar noted that he was “picking up” the sentiment that Regal’s coaching and wisdom was not appreciated or received the way one would expect by the AEW locker room. He stated that some of these individuals have six-figure deals and think Regal’s advice is either behind the times or beneath them.

Pillman Jr., who has been signed with AEW since July 2021, responded and stated that several within the locker room, including himself, spent multiple hours before television tapings working with Regal and learning from him. He noted that Regal and Bryan Danielson always had a “solid audience” around the ring before the tapings.

When LaBar responded and pointed out that he said “some”, Pillman Jr. clarified that he didn’t want the message to be misinterpreted. He descried how Regal would work with ten performs on some days, whereas there were others when a smaller group took him up on his help.
