All Elite Wrestling superstar Eddie Kingston is currently dealing with an unknown injury, forcing him to pull out of a planned DEFY Wrestling event.
The announcement, which came from DEFY, confirmed that Kingston would not be appearing at Saturday’s YEAR6 event. It’s unclear exactly when Kingston suffered the injury, but according to a report from F4WOnline, Kingston was hurt on Wednesday at some point, even though the superstar did appear on AEW Dynamite. Despite pulling out of the DEFY event, the report mentions that the injury is one that he hopes to return from quickly.
Recently, Kingston has been getting into it with Ortiz and the House of Black, and just recently was the subject of a promo from Ortiz during Friday’s AEW Rampage. In the promo, Ortiz took to discussing Eddie Kingston.
He said that he knows where he screwed up when it came to Eddie, and that he won’t let Kingston become a martyr for the House of Black. If it came down to it, Ortiz said, he would have Eddie’s back, but as of right now they have to fight it out, which he is also cool and okay with.
