Rey Mysterio was the first member of the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2023 to be announced. His son, Dominik Mysterio, continued to ruin his celebratory mood on the March 13 episode of WWE RAW, as Dominik challenged his father to face him at WrestleMania 39.
On Monday night, Rey started to talk about how his impending induction will not only be an award for himself, but for the WWE Universe as well. He was then interrupted by his son Dominik, , who told his father that he earned his Hall of Fame induction at the expense of his family.
Dominik said that Rey chose all the strangers of the WWE Universe over his own kids, and that Rey ditched him for WrestleMania. The young Mysterio then said that he wanted to face his father at WrestleMania, to which Rey emphasized that he will never fight his own son. Rey walked away, even as Dominik kept berating him.
Dominik has tried to bait Rey into a fight on multiple occasions, but the legend has turned his son down at every turn. Fans will have to wait and see whether they will clash at WrestleMania after all.
