Kurt Angle: Undertaker Should Have Never Lost At WrestleMania

Kurt Angle brings the hottest take of all this WrestleMania season as he says The Undertaker should have never lost at WrestleMania.

Wrestlers trying to break The Undertaker’s vaunted WrestleMania streak was a staple of WrestleMania events throughout the 2000s and 2010s. Eventually, Brock Lesnar would break the streak in 2014, and even though Undertaker would continue competing at WrestleMania for another six years, his matches lost a portion of their significance as there was no longer anyone trying to become the first wrestler to defeat “The Phenom” at the Showcase of the Immortals.

Kurt Angle, on the latest episode of his Kurt Angle Show podcast, weighed in on Undertaker losing the streak saying that he believes the Undertaker should have been able to retire undefeated at WrestleMania.

“No, I don’t think it should have been broken. The Undertaker should have retired undefeated. That streak should have been set in stone forever,” said Kurt. “I think that Brock beating him, I mean, if you’re going to have someone beat him, it should be someone as legitimate as Brock Lesnar. But again, I disagree. He should be undefeated, no doubt about it. His legacy should be set in stone as the only undefeated person at WrestleMania that wrestled more than ten matches.”

Kurt Angle never got to wrestle The Undertaker at WrestleMania. Still, they had numerous encounters over the years, with their final match taking place at WWE No Way Out 2006 and just before Kurt Angle joined TNA wrestling in September of that year.
