WWE legend Bully Ray thinks WWE NXT’s Kendal Grey could follow in another legend’s footsteps.
Speaking during the latest episode of SiriusXM’s Busted Open radio, Ray compared the NXT star to WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle. According to Ray, Grey is on a trajectory to become “Kurt Angle of the women.”
“There’s a bigger name down in NXT that is going to be an absolute star on the main roster and she will become the Kurt Angle of the women. And if there was ever somebody out there who I thought could surpass Charlotte Flair when it came to athletic ability in the ring and the potential to win championships, it is Kendal Grey,” said Ray (via Wrestling Inc.).
Ray went on to say that he believes that she’s not only amazing at what she does, but has a ton of intangibles that make her the perfect storm of what makes a WWE star.
“Kendal Grey is a fu-king stud. She is amazing at what she does. Every time I watch a Kendal Grey match, I am completely invested. You talk about the credibility of being a wrestler’s wrestler, along with the look, the presentation, the promo. Kendall is going to be a very, very big deal major player,” he said.
Grey started her professional wrestling career in 2023, and has very quickly become one of the biggest stars in NXT’s roster. Earlier this year, she was unable to capture the NXT Women’s Championship in a match against Jacy Jayne and Lola Vice.
