Bryan Danielson is back with a vengeance.
After Kenny Omega defended the IWGP United States Championship against Jeff Cobb on the March 29 episode of AEW Dynamite, the Blackpool Combat Club circled around the ring. Before they could attack, Bryan Danielson walked out, marking his first appearance since he stated that he was going home on the March 8 episode of AEW Dynamite,
It appeared as if Danielson was coming to Omega’s aid when he helped him up to his feet. But once Omega turned his back, Danielson hit a running knee and locked him in the LeBell lock so that the other members of Blackpool Combat Club could also stomp on him.
Danielson was previously aligned with Moxley and company throughout 2022 leading up to the Anarchy in the Arena match at Double or Nothing. He had unofficially separated from the group throughout his feud with MJF leading into AEW Revolution. He also has history with Omega as they battled to a 30-minute draw on AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam in 2021.
