ROH Supercard Of Honor 2023 Results (3/31): World Title Bout, Ladder Match, More

ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship: Samoa Joe (c) vs. Mark Briscoe

Briscoe takes the fight to Joe. The champion rocks Mark with a chop. They trade strikes. The match spills to the outside. Joe catches Mark and suplexes him at ringside. The champion slams Mark face-first into the ring post. Joe continues to control the action. He suplexes Mark. Joe dives onto the challenger at ringside. Mark fires up and hits a baseball slide dropkick. He dives onto Joe at ringside. Mark sends Joe crashing through a table.

He chops Joe. They trade blows. Joe counters the Jay Driller and gets a two count with a powerslam.

Joe and Briscoe keep battling. The champion locks Joe in a sleeper hold and slams him. Joe traps Mark in the Coquina Clutch, and Mark’s arm goes limp, so the referee calls for the bell.

Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Daniel Garcia

Tanahashi and Garcia lock up and feel each other out. Garcia briefly takes control. Tanahashi fires up and sends Garcia to the outside. Garcia sends Tanahashi into the steel steps and dropkicks his leg into the steel. Garcia mocks Tanahashi’s air guitar taunt. He continues to control the bout. Tanahashi perseveres with a forearm. He slams Garcia to the mat. Tanahashi hits a cannonball for a two count. They keep going back and forth. Tanahashi locks in a Sharpshooter, but Garcia reaches the ropes. Tanahashi hits a diving splash for the win.

Winner: Hiroshi Tanahashi

Garcia refused to shake Tanahashi’s hand after the bout.

“Reach for the Sky” Ladder Match: The Kingdom (Matt Taven & Mike Bennett) vs. Lucha Brothers (Penta El Zero Miedo) vs. Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher & Mark Davis) vs. Top Flight (Dante & Darius Martin) vs. La Faccion Ingobernable (RUSH & Dralistco)

The match quickly breaks down into chaos as the teams brawl at ringside. RUSH and Dralistco take control and pose. They square off with Aussie Open and trade blows with them. Davis and Fletcher double-team RUSH and hit him with a ladder. Bodies are flying, as Top Flight and LFI dive to the outside. The Kingdom gain the upper hand and set up tables at ringside.

Penta gets slammed into the ring post. Aussie Open floors The Kingdom with piledrivers on the ramp. RUSH floors Penta with a destroyer in the ring. Bennett and RUSH chop each other. Dante and Dralistico battle on the ladder. Aussie Open kicks Penta and slams him onto a ladder. Bennett is busted open, but he climbs the ladder. Dante Martin hits a sunset bomb off the ladder. Aussie Open slams Darius Martin onto a ladder at ringside. Dralistico floors Davis with an acrobatic DDT. Taven hits a splash onto Dralistico onto a ladder. Fenix and Martin battle on a ladder. Penta sends Dante through a table with a destroyer, and Martin seemingly lands awkwardly on his foot. Fenix knocks Taven off a ladder and sends him crashing onto a ladder. Fenix unhooks the titles to win the match.

Mark Briscoe and FTR come out and celebrate with the Lucha Brothers.

ROH Pure Championship: Wheeler Yuta (c) vs. Katsuyori Shibata

Jon Moxley comes out and accompanies Yuta to the ring. Yuta and Shibata feel each other out. The match is slow-paced and heavily technical early on. Shibata forces Yuta to use an early rope break with a leg lock. Shiabata drills Yuta with a series of elbow strikes. They continue to battle for positioning. Yuta takes control. He goes low and punches Shibata, prompting the referee to give him a warning. Shibata keeps fighting, but Yuta holds his own with him. Shibata nails Yuta with a stiff shot and locks in a sleeper. He then rocks Yuta with a kick for the win.

Winner and new ROH Pure Champion: Katsuyori Shibata

ROH World Championship: Claudio Castagnoli (c) vs. Eddie Kingston

Castagnoli and Kingston take the fight to each to each other, and Kingston gains the upper hand. He targets Castagnoli’s leg. Claudio rolls to the outside and lures Kingston in before he blasts him with a stiff strike. Castagnoli overpowers Castagnoli. Kingston fires back with some strikes of his own. The champion goes for the Swing, but his knee gives out. Kingston and Castagnoli keep battling. Castagnoli gets a two count with a superplex. Kingston rakes Castagnoli’s eyes to escape a submission hold.

The match heads to the outside, and Kingston suplexes Castagnoli on the floor. Back in the ring. Kingston gets a two count with a bulldog. Castagnoli drives some stiff elbows into Kingston’s head and neck. Kingston locks in the Stretch Plum, but Castagnoli reaches the ropes. Kingston slams Castagnoli on his head for a two count. Castagnoli takes control again. Kingston counters the Ricola Bomb and hits a back fist for a two count. Castagnoli hits a gutwrench suplex from the apron to the floor. Kingston nails Castagnoli with a back fist, but Castagnoli hits the Neutralizer. Kingston kicks out at one, and he kicks out again after a European uppercut. Kingston and Castagnoli trade pin attempts, and Castagnoli scores the win.

Winner and still ROH World Champion: Claudio Castagnoli

After the match, Wheeler Yuta and Castagnoli surround the ring, ready to attack Kingston. Katsuyori Shibata makes the save. Kingston grabs a microphone and makes it clear that he’s not going anywhere.
