AEW World Title Match Officially Set For AEW Double Or Nothing

The main event is now confirmed for AEW Double or Nothing.

In the main event of the May 3 episode of AEW Dynamite, “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry and Darby Allin teamed up to take on AEW World Champion MJF and Sammy Guevara. The stipulation was that if Perry and Allin won, they would be added to the Double or Nothing main event, which was tentatively set to be MJF vs. Guevara.

The former TNT Champion struck a deal with MJF, as the self-proclaimed “generational talent” helped Guevara win the Pillars Tournament against Alllin and Perry. In exchange, Guevara would have had to lie down for MJF at the pay-per-view, but the tag team bout was booked for Wednesday; with a win, Perry and Allin would be added to the title match.

MJF and Guevara’s apparent alliance came to an end during the tag bout when MJF finally slapped Guevara, leading to Guevara super-kicking the champ. Perry took advantage and laid Guevara out, allowing Allin to hit the Coffin Drop to secure the victory.

As a result, MJF will now defend his AEW World Championship in a four-way match against Guevara, Allin, and Perry in the main event of Double or Nothing in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 28.

WrestleZone will have complete coverage of the pay-per-view as it airs.
