Darby Allin made his long-awaited return to AEW television during the June 10 edition of AEW Dynamite: Summer Blockbuster, and he wasted no time settling unfinished business.
After weeks away from AEW programming, Allin resurfaced in dramatic fashion during a segment involving Kevin Knight and Don Callis.
The appearance marked Allin’s first AEW showing since losing the AEW World Championship to MJF at Double or Nothing. However, it quickly became clear that his focus was not on reclaiming championship gold — at least not yet.
Darby Allin targets Kevin Knight after Double or Nothing betrayal
The confrontation began when Don Callis introduced Kevin Knight to the ring for a promo. Knight addressed the crowd and defended his recent actions, while also expressing interest in pursuing the AEW World Championship. He then called out Maxwell Jacob Friedman.
Instead of MJF, Knight got a very different response.
As Knight stood in the ring, Allin suddenly appeared behind him and struck him with a skateboard. The former AEW World Champion blindsided Knight before delivering a pointed message.
“I hope New York was worth it, bitch.”
Allin then followed up with a Coffin Drop, sending a clear signal that their rivalry is far from over. Before members of the Callis Family could retaliate, Allin quickly escaped the scene.
The attack stemmed from events following Double or Nothing, where Knight shocked fans by turning on Allin and hitting him with a UFO Splash.
That betrayal transformed a former alliance into a deeply personal grudge, making Allin’s return feel less like a comeback and more like a receipt finally being delivered.
With scores being settled and tempers boiling over, Allin’s return has immediately reignited one of AEW’s most volatile rivalries.
