Cassie Lee Returning To The Ring For World Series Wrestling ‘Full Throttle’ Tour

Cassie Lee returns to action later this year.

Cassie Lee (formerly known as Peyton Royce in WWE) will return to her home country as she gears up for World Series Wrestling’s “Full Throttle” tour. Lee, a former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, has not been in action since April 2022.

After she and Jessie McKay suffered defeat to The Influence on IMPACT’s Countdown To Rebellion, the duo announced that they’d be stepping away from the ring. Shortly after their departure from IMPACT Wrestling, Cassie Lee and her real-life husband, Shawn Spears, revealed that Lee was pregnant. In January 2023, they welcomed their son, Austin, into the world.

Now, it appears that Lee is pivoting back to professional wrestling. In October 2023, Lee will make her way back to Australia to take part in the “Full Throttle” tour for WSW. The tour will span across five cities: Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, and Sydney. Lee’s opponent has yet to be announced.

In response to the news, Cassie Lee tweeted “Let’s grapple!”

In addition to Lee, WSW has recruited several other notable names for the tour, including Matt Cardona, CJ Perry (fka Lana), The Motor City Machine Guns, Frankie Kazarian, “Speedball” Mike Bailey, and Brian Cage.

After exiting from WWE in April 2021, Lee and Jessie McKay (fka Billie Kay) made their way to IMPACT Wrestling later that October. Upon their debut at Bound For Glory, they defeated Decay (Havok & Rosemary) to win the Knockouts Tag Team Championships. Lee and McKay, now known as The IInspiration, held the titles for 133 days before dropping them to The Influence at Sacrifice in March 2022.
