A big Steel Cage match will headline the May 30 episode of WWE NXT.
During the May 23 edition of NXT, the rivalry between former tag team partners Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne continued to escalate, as Dolin made it clear that she wanted to end Jayne, while Jacy expressed her belief that she outgrew Gigi. Jayne then suggested they settle their feud in a Steel Cage match. To up the ante, Dolin challenged her to make a Weaponized Cage match, and Jayne agreed to the terms.
Dolin and Jayne previously were members of Toxic Attraction alongside Mandy Rose. They became two-time NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions, but after Rose’s departure, their partnership fell apart.
After both women came up short against Roxanne Perez in a NXT Women’s title match at Vengeance Day in February, Jayne officially turned on Dolin. Gigi then beat Jayne at NXT Roadblock in March, but Jayne got her win back on May 2.
The last Weaponized Cage match in WWE was held at NXT Vengeance Day 2022, where Pete Dunne defeated Tony D’Angelo.
As of this writing, the Weaponized Cage between Jayne and Dolin match is the only segment confirmed for the May 30 episode. WrestleZone will have complete coverage of the show as it airs.
