Jade Cargill Reveals Some Great Advice Bryan Danielson Has Given Her In AEW

Jade Cargill might only have one loss in professional wrestling, but she’s still learning and improving every time she enters the ring.

All Elite Wrestling‘s Jade Cargill recently sat down with TK Trinidad of Women’s Wrestling Talk to discuss a wide variety of subjects. When asked about training in the ring with Bryan Danielson, Cargill spoke about all the great advice she’s received from The American Dragon.

“Bryan is always saying phenomenal things to me,” Jade Cargill said. “And I remember one time I was working with him, and we’re talking about something, I think it was like, like my role and like doing moves and stuff, and he was like, ‘No, you’re a star, you’re a superstar. You’re in a different realm, and you know that. You have to do something a certain way.’ And he was telling me to just calm down. Because I go to the back — I want to be great; so I’m like, let’s watch film now, let’s do this now.

“I want to get this all out right now… like I feel iffy, like, let’s talk about it. And he’s just like, ‘Take your time; you are on a fast track right now. Take your time! I know the internet might say this, and it might say that, but it takes several years to get into this and be comfortable. And even if you are out here sinking or swimming, whatever, you can’t tell. You can’t tell. And it’s all about having fun. I’ve said that before.’ He always asked me about having fun.

“He’s more like [about] a feeling. He’s just so mellow. It’s one thing to go out there and to have a match, but it’s another to feel it, to go out there and feel the crowd and to just know you’re feeling in that moment. Most of the time, I come back and Ricky Starks asks me how I feel, and I [say] I don’t know. Sometimes I have to get off of that high because I’m still [in my character’s mindset], and it’s like give me a minute, three minutes, so I can wind down myself because I’m very emotional and I’m still in that mode.

“I get a lot of advice because a lot of people in our company want me to win, and they want me to be successful. They do see me out there working my butt off and asking for advice because I’m new. Not new anymore, but there’s a lot of things I haven’t done before. They just want to see me win because they know I’ve been thrown in the fire. This is the beginning. This is still the beginning, and I’m elevating, and I’m getting better; the more reps I get and the more experience I get, it’s only going to grow.”
