Matt Hardy believes the future is in good hands with names like Isiah Kassidy and Daniel Garcia.
Speaking with Joe Murray and James Stewart on Stick To Wrestling, Hardy was asked to name some young talent in AEW that he considered as worthy of the “pillar” label. Hardy chose Daniel Garcia, then shared some praise for his mentees in Private Party.
“The first person that pops into my mind, which I think he’s gonna be a huge star going forward, is Daniel Garcia,” Hardy said. “I think he’s phenomenal, I think he’s gonna do great things. Private Party’s gonna do great things. Especially Marq Quen, who’s on the healing path right now. He’ll be back sooner or later.
“But I am so proud of Isiah Kassidy. He’s grown so much during the time we’ve been together, and he almost soaks up information like a sponge. He has learned so much, and he has really got it down. He always had the moves, he’s super athletic, and he can do all these incredible spots and whatnot. But he’s really soaked up and really mastered the art of being a character. The moan that he does, it’s crazy. He’s kind of a legitimate singles star now because people love that moan so much.”
