Tony Khan Confirms Claudio Castagnoli’s Opponent For ROH Death Before Dishonor

Claudio Castagnoli is set to defend his ROH World Championship this weekend.

During the main event of AEW Dynamite, The Golden Elite squared off against The Blackpool Combat Club, PAC, and Konosuke Takeshita in the third annual Blood & Guts match. Toward the conclusion of the match, PAC and Claudio Castagnoli, who were teammates in this instance, found themselves in a heated argument after Castagnoli accidently delivered an uppercut to PAC. After their verbal spat, “The Bastard” then delivered a middle finger to Castagnoli and proceeded to exit the Blood & Guts cage.

Following the BCC’s subsequent loss inside Blood & Guts, Castagnoli challenged PAC to

step up” and face him at ROH Death Before Dishonor. PAC later accepted Castagnoli’s challenge, vowing to “hurt” and “embarrass” the “Swiss piece of sh**” before taking his ROH World Championship.

With PAC’s follow-up statement, ROH owner Tony Khan has made the match official. Tomorrow night at ROH Death Before Dishonor, Claudio Castagnoli will defend his ROH World Championship against “The Bastard” PAC.

Originally, Castagnoli was slated to defend his title against Mark Briscoe at the pay-per-view, but due to a knee injury, Briscoe was pulled from the event.

Here is an updated look at the ROH Death Before Dishonor card:

  • ROH World Championship: Claudio Castagnoli (c) vs. PAC
  • ROH Television Championship: Samoa Joe (c) vs. Dalton Castle or Shane Taylor
  • ROH Pure Championship: Katsuyori Shibata (c) vs. Daniel Garcia
