Matthew Rehwoldt Announces He Will Be Taking Wrestling Bookings Again

Matthew Rehwoldt, formerly known as Aiden English, could be returning to the ring soon.

In August 2022, Rehwoldt announced that he was no longer taking wrestling bookings. At the time, he stated that he planned to focus on the broadcast side of the business.

In a tweet, Rehwoldt revealed that he will be taking wrestling bookings again on a limited basis through the end of 2023. He wrote that he is available to wrestle, do commentary, and manage. He also noted that he is taking meet & greet and hosting bookings.

As of this writing, Rehwoldt last wrestled on the June 2, 2022 episode of IMPACT Wrestling. There, he unsuccessfully challenged Rich Swann for the IMPACT Digital Media Championship.

Rehwoldt continues to work as a commentator for IMPACT Wrestling. Check out the card for the July 20 episode here.

Matthew Rehwoldt Says He Is Currently A Free Agent

Rehwoldt recently appeared on Developmentally Speaking and stated that he is a free agent. He explained that he is exploring his options outside of his work in wrestling.

“I’m trying to do a little bit of everything. I’m taking advantage of this moment. Obviously, I do commentary for IMPACT Wrestling as well as New Japan Pro Wrestling, couple of independents here, like BRCW based out of Florida, and a few others. I would be remiss if I didn’t say Wrestling REVOLVER, Sami Callihan’s home promotion, which is really, really cool. I do those, but I am a free-wheeling, free-dealing agent. I’m not tied down anywhere, so I’m also using this opportunity to explore other passions outside of wrestling.”
