WWE SmackDown Viewership Dips On 8/4, Demo Rises

WWE SmackDown viewership dipped ahead of WWE SummerSlam.

Wrestlenomics reports that 2.248 million viewers tuned in on August 4. This number is down from last week, when 2.323 million viewers tuned in on July 28.

In the 18 to 49 demographic, SmackDown drew a 0.62 rating. This number is slightly up from last week, when the show scored a 0.61 rating in the same rating.

This Week’s WWE SmackDown

The August 4 episode of WWE SmackDown was the go-home show ahead of WWE SummerSlam. In the opening match, LA Knight defeated Sheamus. Jey Uso later defeated Solo Sikoa in the main event.

Elsewhere on the show, the Brawling Brutes (Ridge Holland and Butch) faced The O.C. (Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows). Plus, Zelina Vega defeated IYO SKY following a distraction from Shotzi. Additionally, WWE United States Champion Austin Theory defeated Cameron Grimes.
