Bray Wyatt Cause Of Death Revealed

Bray Wyatt died suddenly at the age of 36 on August 24. WWE’s Triple H made the unfortunate announcement that he’d passed, and now Rotunda’s cause of death has been revealed.

Bray Wyatt – Windham Rotunda – died from a heart attack. Wyatt was dealing with heart issues that were brought on after testing positive for COVID-19 earlier this year. Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp revealed these details, noting Wyatt’s family gave permission to share the details publicly.

“I was given permission to reveal that earlier this year Windham Rotunda (Bray Wyatt) got COVID that exacerbated heart issues,” Sapp wrote. “There was a lot of positive progress towards a return and his recovery. Unfortunately today he suffered a heart attack and passed away.

“I encourage those reading to respect the family’s privacy if at all possible, but his loved ones wanted some details clarified.”

“WWE is saddened to learn that Windham Rotunda, also known as Bray Wyatt, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 24, at age 36,” WWE wrote in a statement. “WWE extends its condolences to Rotunda’s family, friends and fans.”

Bray Wyatt had not been on WWE programming since February due to a then-undisclosed illness. Recently, it was reported that Wyatt was closer to getting cleared for a return. While he was not cleared, there were still some creative ideas being floated around for a potential return.
