WWE Payback has gotten even bigger, with WWE confirming that the WWE United States Championship will be on the line, and Cody Rhodes will also be in attendance at the premium live event.
As confirmed during tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown, Mysterio will defend his newly won United States Championship against Austin Theory at the event. Theory is looking to reclaim his title a third time after defeating LA Knight last week to earn himself a chance at winning it back.
As for Rhodes, he will appear during a special edition of The Grayson Waller Effect on Payback. It’s unclear what the pair will discuss, however.
