AEW All In Results (8/27/23): MJF vs. Adam Cole, FTR vs. Young Bucks, More

On August 27, All Elite Wrestling made their debut in the United Kingdom with AEW All In London at Wembley Stadium.

Among other matches, MJF defended the AEW World Championship against Adam Cole, and the Young Bucks challenged FTR for the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

Zero Hour Pre-Show

Tony Schiavone comes to the ring and thanks the fans. Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal, Satnam Singh, Karen Jarrett, and Sonjay Dutt interrupt. Jeff Jarrett insults the crowd and says American fans are better, and American wrestlers paved the way for this historic event. He says American promoters paved the way for the show. Paul Wight, Anthony Ogogo, and Grado interrupt. Wight punches Singh, and Grado takes the fight to Jarrett. Wight chokeslams Lethal, and Grado smashes Jarrett with a guitar.

ROH World Tag Team Championship: Aussie Open (Mark Davis & Kyle Fletcher) (c) vs. MJF & Adam Cole

Aussie Open attacks MJF and Adam Cole during their entrance and takes control of the action early on. Mark Davis overpowers MJF in the ring and maintains the advantage. MJF teases going for the Kangaroo Kick, but Aussie Open stops him. MJF gains some breathing room and tags Cole. Cole fires up with a flurry of offense. Cole drills Fletcher with a stiff strike to the face. MJF calls for the Double Clothesline, but Aussie Open avoids it. Aussie Open drills MJF with a superkick. MJF rallies and hits for the Kangaroo Kick, and the crowd goes wild. MJF and Adam Cole hit the Double Clothesline for the win.

FTW Championship: Jack Perry (c) vs. HOOK

Jack Perry shows up in a fancy car. HOOK comes up the ramp and takes the fight to Perry during his entrance. HOOK slams Perry onto the car. Perry suplexes HOOK onto the car. Perry hits a Rolling Thunder for a two count. HOOK suplexes Perry right onto the windshield of the car. Perry hits a DDT at ringside. In the ring, Perry drops HOOK with a German suplex and rocks him with a kick. HOOK plants Perry with a German suplex. HOOK suplexes Perry into the turnbuckles. HOOK evades a moonsault and hits Perry with a trash can. He locks in the Redrum, and Perry taps out.

Winner and new FTW Champion: HOOK

Nigel McGuinness joins the commentary team. The panel discusses the card as the Zero Hour pre-show comes to a close.

Main Card

“Real” World Championship: CM Punk (c) vs. Samoa Joe

Punk and Joe feel each other out. The match briefly heads to the outside, but Punk gets back in the ring. Joe drills Punk with some stiff chops. He headbutts Punk. Punk sends him to the outside with a hurricanrana. Punk goes for a dive to the outside, but Joe walks out of the way. Joe takes control and slams Punk through broadcast table and flips him off.

Joe targets the laceration and punches Punk. Back in the ring, Joe grounds Punk. Joe drills Punk with a series of strikes. Punk hits John Cena’s classic five move sequence and transitions into a Hulk Hogan-like taunt. He hits a Hulk Hogan leg drop. Joe slams Punk and traps him in an STF. Punk goes for a toe-hold in a tribute to Terry Funk, but Joe escapes. Joe floors Punk with a slam. Punk evades the Musclebuster and drops Joe with a kick.

Punk gets the win with the Pepsi Plunge.

Bullet Club Gold (Jay White and Juice Robinson) (with the Gunns) & Konosuke Takeshita (with Don Callis) vs. The Golden Elite (Kenny Omega, Hangman Page & Kota Ibushi)

Don Callis joins the commentary team for the bout. Robinson and Page start the bout. Ibushi and Robinson tag in and square off. Ibushi rocks White with a strike and takes control. Omega and Ibusbi double-team White. Takeshita tags in, and Omega takes him down with a hurricanrana. Omega dives onto his opponents at ringside. Robinson gains the upper hand. Takeshita grounds Omega. Ibushi kicks Takeshita, and they trade blows.

The match breaks down, but Omega and Ibushi are left in the ring. Takeshita takes Omega down with a lariat. Robinson and his team isolate Omega. Ibushi takes the fight to the Gunns at ringside. Page tags in and clears house with a flurry of offense. He dives onto White at ringside. Ibushi maintains the advantage and gets a two-count with a moonsault on White. Omega and Ibushi both dive to the outside. Ibushi drills White with a knee, but White slams him, and both men are down. Omega and Takeshita trade blows.

Omega suplexes Robinson and White. Takeshita hits the Blue Thunder Bomb for a two-count. Page fights off the Gunns and dives onto them at ringside. White slams Page. Takeshita hits Ibushi with a knee strike. Page hits Takeshita with the Buckshot Lariat. Omega counters the Blade Runner by Jay White and drills him with a V-trigger. Takeshita rolls up Omega for the win.

AEW World Tag Team Championship: FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) (c) vs. The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson)

Nick Jackson and Dax Harwood feel each other out. Cash Wheeler tags in and gets double-teamed. Cash rallies, but the Young Bucks send FTR to the outside. Matt drops Cash with a Spear, and Nick dives onto FTR at ringside. The Young Bucks maintain the advantage. Cash fires up and drops Nick with an uppercut. Dax tags in and gains control with a flurry offense. Dax dishes out some German suplexes. Matt fires back with a Northern Lights suplex of his own. Harwood gets a two-count with a crossbody. Matt suplexes Harwood again.

Dax drops Nick with a slingshot powerbomb. Matt gets a two-count with a pin attempt. Dax and Cash lock in stereo Sharpshooters. The Young Bucks gain the upper hand. Dax and Matt go for splashes, but both men get countered. Dax gets a two-count with a backslide. The two teams keep battling. The Young Bucks break up Shatter Machine attempt. Dax gets a two-count on an attempted pin.

The Young Bucks rock Dax with a series of kicks. They hit a stump piledriver for a two-count. Dax dodges the BTE Trigger, and Cash takes Nick out with a tackle off the apron. FTR hit the FTR Trigger and the Shatter Machine for a near fall. Nick and Dax spill to the outside. Matt dodges the springboard 450, and Matt gets a two-count with a superkick. The Young Bucks hit the BTE Trigger for a two count. The Bucks hit the Shatter Machine and the BTE Trigger for a near fall.

Stadium Stampede: Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Santana & Ortiz) vs. Eddie Kingston, Penta El Zero Miedo, Orange Cassidy & Best Friends (Trent Beretta & Chuck Taylor)

Kingston charges down the ramp, and Castagnoli meets him, so the fight is underway. Both teams pair off in smaller fights. Castagnoli and Kingston brawl. Taylor dives onto Santana and Ortiz. Moxley has a branding iron. Beretta is left alone with Santana and Ortiz. Kingston and Claudio keep fighting, and they brawl to the backstage area. They are joined by Yuta and Chuck Taylor. Penta hits a backstabber. Moxley, who is busted open, drops Penta with a cutter and hits the Paradigm Shift. Penta drives some skewers into Moxley’s head.

Kingston and Claudio are fighting up near the concourse. They continue to brawl in the crowd. Penta gets spiked with a piledriver on a chair, and doctors check on him. He is escorted to the back. Moxley gouges Cassidy with a fork and hits him with a brainbuster on a chair. Yuta and Taylor are shown brawling in the parking lot. Up in the stands, Castagnoli and Yuta gang up on Kingston. Moxley chokes Beretta with a kendo stick. Kingston slams Claudio onto a bar and attacks a member of security. Kingston is down after he gets hit with a glass bottle.

Beretta gets slammed onto a ladder. Moxley slams Beretta onto a barbed wire board. Moxley drives Beretta onto the steel chairs. Ortiz gouges Cassidy with a fork. The fight ventures up to the stage. A van drives out to the stage, and Sue is in the driver’s seat.

Moxley kisses her, and Trent fires up. Sue hands him some cookies, and Trent dishes out some punishment with the cookie sheet. Penta, now dressed as Penta Oscuro, shows up. He takes the fight to Santana and hits a sunset flip powerbomb off a ladder and through a table.

Best Friends gang up on Yuta. Ortiz makes the save. Taylor spikes Yuta with the Awful Waffle. Moxley dives onto Taylor at ringside. Claudio sends Cassidy swinging. Moxley hits the Paradigm Shift onto a pile of Lego pieces. Ortiz and Trent crash through a table with a superplex. Cassidy drills Claudio with three Orange Punches for a two count. Cassidy drives his hand into broken glass for a Orange Punch, but Moxley breaks it up. Cassidy DDTs Moxley onto the glass. Claudio hits Cassidy with a deadlift European uppercut. Kingston storms back to the ring and dishes out punishment with a barbed wire wrapped chair.

Kingston drives Moxley with a wooden board. Cassidy hits Claudio with the Orange Punch for the win.

AEW Women’s World Championship: Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Saraya vs. Toni Storm vs. Britt Baker

Saraya enters to “We Will Rock You”, and her family comes out with her. The match starts right away, as the competitors take the fight to each other. Saraya and Storm work together. They isolate Baker, but they argue when they go for a pin. Shida takes control. Storm accidentally hits Saraya’s mom at ringside, and Saraya gets mad. Saraya takes the fight to Storm. Storm gains the upper hand. Ruby Soho comes out and argues with Storm, who hits her. Soho walks away. Saraya kicks Storm. Baker slams Shida with a neckbreaker. Baker stomps Storm for a two count.

Shida slams Baker onto Saraya and hits a Meteora for a two count. She rocks Saraya with a Katana, but Baker breaks up the win. Baker foes for the Lockjaw. Saraya sprays Storm with spray paint and gets the win with Nightcap.

Coffin Match: Sting & Darby Allin vs. Swerve Strickland (with Prince Nana) & Christian Cage (with Luchasaurus)

DJ Whoo Kid and Flash Garments rap ahead of Swerve’s entrance. Darby and Sting enter to “Search and Destroy” by Metallica. Sting takes the fight to Swerve and stares down Cage. Sting and Allin double-team Swerve. “The Icon” gets a cricket bat and hits Prince Nana and Strickland. Sting and Allin put thumbtack jackets on and splash Swerve and Nana. Swerve and cage drop Allin and Sting with Spears. Allin dives onto Cage with his hands tied behind his back. Cage slams Allin and Sting into the steps.

Cage goes for the Con-Chair-To, but Allin avoids it. Sting sends Strickland through a table. Allin hits Cage with a dropkick while he’s seated in a chair. Sting and Allin shove Cage into a coffin, but Luchasaurus stops them from closing it. He throws Allin into the coffin like a dart. Nick Wayne attacks Luchasaurus, and the big man drops him with a headbutt.

Luchasaurus chokeslams Wayne onto a skateboard. Sting and Allin rally and gang up on Swerve. Allin goes for a Coffin Drop onto the coffin, but Strickland moves. Sting traps Christian in a Scorpion Death Lock, but Swerve breaks it up.

Strickland hits the diving stomp on Sting. Swerve puts Sting in the coffin, but Sting keeps it open with a bat. Sting fights out of the coffin. Cage chokes Allin out at ringside. Swerve goes for a splash onto the coffin, but Sting moves. Allin fights off Cage. Sting hits the Scorpion Death Drop onto the coffin and tries to close the lid, but Swerve stops him. Allin hits the Coffin Drop and closes the lid.

Winners: Sting and Darby Allin

Chris Jericho (with Sammy Guevara) vs. Will Ospreay (with Don Callis)

Jericho and Fozzy perform “Judas” live for his entrance.

Ospreay and Jericho feel each other out early on. Ospreay dives onto Jericho at ringside. A springboard forearm earns Ospreay a two-count. They trade blows. They drop each other with big boots. They talk trash, and Ospreay flips Jericho off. Jericho drops Ospreay with a German suplex on the apron. He takes control. Ospreay takes Jericho down with a springboard kick.

Ospreay gains the upper hand. He goes for a dropkick, but Jericho evades it. Ospreay counters the Lionsault and hits a Shooting Star Press for a two-count.

Jericho hits a Codebreaker for a two count. Ospreay gets a two-count with an Os-cutter. He goes for the Stormbreaker, but Jericho counters and locks in the Walls of Jericho. Guevara hits Ospreay behind the referee’s back. Osprray escapes and slams Jericho with a two-count.

Jericho hits an Os-cutter. Ospreay fires up, and they trade blows. Jericho counters the Stormbreaker and hits Ospreay below the belt behind the referee’s back. Jericho hits the Judas Effect for a near fall. Ospreay gets a two-count with a pin attempt and drills Jericho with an elbow. He hits the Stormbreaker for a near fall. Ospreay hits the Hidden Blade and Stormbreaker for the win.

Winner: Will Ospreay

Jericho pushes Guevara away after the match and walks away from him.

No Holds Barred Match for AEW World Trios Champion: House of Black (Buddy Matthews, Brody King & Malakai Black) (with Julia Hart) vs. The Acclaimed (Max Caster & Anthony Bowens) vs. “Bad Ass” Billy Gunn

Caster raps on his way to the ring and drops a Harry Potter reference in. Buddy dives onto The Acclaimed at ringside. King dives onto Matthews and The Acclaimed at ringside. Billly does the “Suck It” taunt to Hart, and they hit Scissor Me Timbers. House of Black gangs up on Gunn. The champions ground Bowens. Gunn evades King, sending him crashing into the barricade. Gunn hits King with a chair.

Gunn is left with Black and Matthews. Gunn takes the fight to them. King levels Gunn with a lariat. Bowens rallies, but House of Black gangs up on him. King accidentally hits Black with a chain. The Acclaimed fire up with a flurry of offense. They hit Matthews with three Famousers. Hart pulls the referee out of the ring to stop the pin. Black hits Gunn with The End for a two count. Bowens drops King with The Arrival, and Caster hits the Mic Drop. Gunn hits the Famouser, and The Arrival/Mic Drop combo scores the win.

Winners and new AEW World Trios Champions: The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn

House of Black gives the titles to Gunn and The Acclaimed. Bowens gets a microphone and says they told Gunn they’d get him a title. He says they promised the people the biggest Scissor Party on Earth. Bowens leads the crowd in a Scissor Party and tells Gunn to scissor him.

AEW World Championship: MJF (c) vs. Adam Cole

MJF gets a special entrance, as he is wearing the “Devil” mask, and he is brought out on a throne. MJF and Cole put on “Better Than You Bay Bay” shirts. They feel each other out and battle for positioning as the match is a stalemate early on. MJF struts and plays to the crowd. Cole gains the advantage and poses as well. MJF extends a handshake and gets a “sportsmanship” chant going. Cole shakes his hand, but MJF pokes him in the eye.

MJF helps Cole up, and Cole slaps him. He drops MJF with a kick. Cole pulls the referee in front of him and slams MJF into the corner. He grounds the champion. Cole grabs MJF by the hair and slams him down. MJF returns the favor. Cole drills MJF with a kick for a two-count. Cole talks some trash and says he’s better than MJF. Cole rips MJF’s shirt off. MJF rallies and slams Cole. MJF bites Cole in the corner.

MJF dives onto Cole at ringside. Cole and MJF trade several pin attempts. MJF catches Cole and plants him with a powerbomb over his knee. Cole nails MJF with a superkick and gets a two count with the Heat-Seeker. The challenger floors MJF with a brainbuster on the steps.

Cole gets back in the ring, and the champion is down. The referee reaches the count of nine, and MJF narrowly avoids the count-out. Cole goes for the Panama Sunrise, but MJF falls out of the ring. MJF goes for the Tombstone through the broadcast table, but he drops Cole, as he is clearly conflicted.

Cole takes control and hits the Tombstone onto the broadcast table. In doing so, he seemingly hurts his knee. MJF and Cole trade blows in the ring. Both men are down. They get up and call for a Double Clothesline. They hit each other and pin each other.

Result: Draw

Cole demands five more minutes, and MJF says no. He says five minutes isn’t enough, and they’re going until there is a winner. They trade pin attempts. Cole accidentally knocks the referee down. MJF gets a chair, and they pass it back and forth. Cole pretends he got hit, but MJF puts the chair around his own neck. He pretends he got hit. The referee questions Cole. MJF rolls him up for a two-count. MJF kicks Cole and hits the Heat-Seeker for a two count. They battle on the apron. Cole suplexes MJF onto the apron.

Cole hits a Panama Sunrise onto the floor. He gets MJF back in the ring and pins him for a two-count. Cole accidentally hits the referee with the Panama Sunrise. MJF pulls out the Dynamite Diamond ring, and he goes to use it, but he drops it. Roderick Strong sneaks in and hits MJF below the belt. Cole hits the Panama Sunrise and the Boom for a near fall. Strong gives Cole the world title and tells him he’s his best friend. Cole takes his “Better Than You Bay Bay” shirt off. He goes to hit MJF with the title, but he drops it. Storm walks away, and MJF rolls Cole up for the win.

Winner and still AEW World Champion: MJF

MJF consoles Cole, who is in tears, after the match. He says it could have been either one of them. MJF gets their ROH World Tag Team Championships and says they still have them. Cole throws the titles away. MJF says Cole never cared about him, and he only cared about the belt. MJF throws the title at him and tells him to take it. He turns his back and tells Cole to do it.

Strong comes back down, but Cole still refuses to hit MJF. Cole and MJF hug it out. MJF and Cole celebrate together, and confetti rains down.
