Sonny Kiss Is No Longer With All Elite Wrestling

Sonny Kiss has finished up with All Elite Wrestling.

AEW removed Sonny Kiss’ profile from its online roster page, which led to speculation about her status. Fightful reached out to Sonny directly and it was confirmed that she’s no longer with the company. It was noted that Sonny’s status changed as of September.

Fightful noted that Sonny’s deal expired.

Sonny Kiss signed with All Elite Wrestling in February 2019. She was part of the company’s inaugural event, AEW Double Or Nothing.

Sonny had been most recently been part of the Trustbusters stable. Her last match was a tag team loss to the Iron Savages on the April 18 episode of AEW Dark. Sonny’s last televised match was a loss to Parker Boudreaux on the August 12, 2022 episode of AEW Rampage.

Kiss has not yet publicly commented on the change in her status with AEW.

Sonny Kiss was a recent guest on The LGBT Sport Podcast. When asked about finding her comfort zone in wrestling, Kiss admitted it hasn’t been an easy journey for her.

“It clearly was not an easy journey, no. It wasn’t, but it’s definitely a little bit of both,” Sonny Kiss said. “I would say it was happening gradually and naturally. It just wasn’t happening fast. Like even still now, like when I signed to AEW, I was just billed as a gay man.

“But now in 2023, you know, I’m a trans feminine human being. So it’s like, it’s a little bit different. And so a lot has changed in the last five years. And yeah, I think I’ve kind of grown right before people’s eyes, and I’ve helped a lot of people grow by doing that.”
