AEW’s WrestleDream event will feature a big match, as Bryan Danielson will face off against Zack Sabre Jr there.
During the September 9 episode of AEW Collision, Danielson talked about potentially winding down his career, but not going away quietly and making his potential last year of wrestling absolutely epic. It was with that in mind that he issued a challenge to Sabre.
Shortly after, Tony Khan took to Twitter to confirm that Danielson would be facing off against the reigning NJPW World TV Champion. The two men were actually originally set to face each other at 2022’s AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view event, but an injury to Danielson forced him to back out.
AEW WrestleDream is set to take place on October 1, 2023, and will be at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington.
