Wes Lee‘s status in NXT is unclear following the September 12 episode of WWE NXT.
On Tuesday night, Wes Lee had the chance to score a major opportunity, as he faced Ilja Dragunov in a #1 Contender’s Match. Dragunov clinched the victory and his spot in the NXT Championship match at NXT No Mercy, leaving Lee looking for answers.
Lee responded to the loss by emptying out his locker. Near the end of the show, Lee commented on his defeat in an interview, and he said he was going home. Lee was clearly emotional as he walked out the door, and right as he left, he stated that he was “done.”
