The newly crowned NXT Women’s Champion competed on the Black and Gold brand last night. She took to Twitter to share a few words about the match.
Last night’s episode of WWE NXT kicked off with the Grand Slam Champion addressing the crowd. She mentioned that while she is happy to hold the gold, she is more excited about defending the championship week after week. The Man also listed a bunch of women on the NXT roster who would be potential challengers to the title.
As she was speaking, she also gave props to the former champion Tiffany Stratton. The Buff Barbie came out and demanded a rematch at the No Mercy Premium Live Event. Becky Lynch accepted. The two then began to brawl and Kiana James ran in to help Stratton.
Big Time Becks managed to hold her own and once a steel chair was brought into play, both Stratton and James retreated. Later, Lynch showed up backstage and demanded she wrestle both James and Stratton in a two-on-one handicap match in the main event.
As The Man walked out for her match, both her opponents attacked her from behind. It looked like things went from bad to worse for Lynch. But then, out came Lyra Valkyrie to help her fellow Irish wrestler.
The two put on a tough fight and picked up the win. Following the match, Lynch took to Twitter to claim that no one can defeat the Irish.
“You’ll never beat the Irish. @Real_Valkyria @WWENXT @WWE,” Becky Lynch tweeted.
After the match was over, Stratton attacked The Man with a steel chair. This forced The Man to make their title match an Extreme Rules match.
