Edge Featured In New ‘Percy Jackson And The Olympians’ Trailer

After retiring from in-ring action due to a neck injury, WWE Hall of Famer Edge ventured into the world of Hollywood. He recently was featured in the trailer of the upcoming Disney+ series Percy Jackson and The Olympians.

On the show, the Rated-R Superstar will be playing the Greek God of War, Ares. Wrestling fans saw a glimpse of him in the trailer. The show is set to premiere later this year. There will be two episodes back-to-back on the day it officially premieres. The show premieres December 2.

Inside The Ring

The Rated-R Superstar was initially forced to retire from professional wrestling after he suffered multiple injuries to his neck. One of the main reasons for his retirement was to prevent any life-threatening injuries.

Prior to his retirement, Edge had acted in small roles and made cameo appearances in films and television series. Over the last decade, The Rated-R Superstar has starred in multiple movies and television series. Some of his most notable roles in films are Bending The Rules and Interrogation.

When it comes to the television side of things, Haven and Vikings were his biggest projects. Adding to the list, he will be playing a recurring role in the upcoming Disney Plus exclusive series, Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

The Rated-R Superstar made a shocking return to WWE at the 2020 Royal Rumble. He also entered the 2021 30-Men Royal Rumble at number one and won the whole thing. Unfortunately, he was unable to win gold at WrestleMania.

He recently wrestled in his final WWE match. It was on Friday Night SmackDown in Canada against Sheamus. During the match, Michael Cole hinted at his upcoming role as Ares. Cole referred to Edge as the soon-to-be Greek God of War.
