Mike Johnson of PWInsider broke the unfortunate news earlier this morning that Jiro has been released by the company.
Jiro was best known for his time in the tag team Jacket Time alongside KUSHIDA back in 2021.
Since KUSHIDA’s departure from WWE, Jiro never found a new storyline for himself. His last match took place on NXT LVL Up in a losing effort to Luca Crusifino on September 12.
Ikemen Jiro has not yet publicly commented on his WWE release.
This brings the known WWE release count from yesterday to 22.
Yesterday, the company released the following names:
- Mustafa Ali
- Rick Boogs
- Riddick Moss
- Top Dolla
- Dolph Ziggler
- Shelton Benjamin
- Quincy Elliott
- Bryson Montana
- Dana Brooke
- Yuliya Leon
- Daniel McArthur
- Kevin Ventura-Cortez
- Brooklyn Barlow
- Alexis Gray
- Ikemen Jiro
Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information as it becomes available.
