Report: Drew McIntyre Still Has Not Re-Signed With WWE

Despite some rumors to the contrary, Drew McIntyre has still not re-signed with WWE.

Rumors indicating that Drew McIntyre had re-signed with WWE. However, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that, per sources, McIntyre has not signed a new contract. His deal is still set to expire ahead of WrestleMania 40 in April 2024. A number of other stars, including Becky Lynch, will have expiring contracts in 2024 as well.

McIntyre returned to WWE at WWE Money in the Bank after he had been absent since WrestleMania 39. He briefly formed an alliance with Matt Riddle before he started targeting the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Drew McIntyre Comments On His Future

Drew McIntyre recently commented on his future. Speaking on Quinn & Cantara, the former WWE Champion was asked about his contract status and whether he plans to leave. (H/t Jeremy Lambert of Fightful for the transcription)

“I focus on the now,” Drew McItyre said. “I don’t focus on the past, I don’t focus on the future, I focus on the present. No, I don’t plan to be anywhere else. That’s as much as I can say right now.”

At WWE Crown Jewel, McIntyre will challenge Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. WrestleZone will have coverage of the show as it airs.
