Kamille: NWA Getting On National Television Will Make Us Even More Of A Competitor

Kamille speaks on NWA‘s potential new television deal.

Billy Corgan’s National Wrestling Alliance reportedly has two new television deals lined up with The CW. However the move has not been officially announced. During a recent appearance on the Pro Wrestling Boom Podcast, Jason Powell asked former NWA World Women’s Champion Kamille if she has any insight.

“Yeah, I don’t know. I just kind of show up to work and see what happens,” Kamille said. “Supposedly, there’s two TV deals. I don’t even know what two TV deals means. But all I know is it can only be for the betterment of the company. Right now we’re on YouTube, which there’s a positive to that as far as people can watch it whenever, wherever they want as long as they have a smart phone or a smart TV.

“But, I think there’s also something to be said being on national television because that’s the way that people — when they think of WWE or AEW, they think of national television. So that’s sort of still the benchmark that people want to hit is getting a national television deal. So I think that’ll make us even more of a competitor in the market and have people take us even more seriously.”

Tweaks along the way

Regarding any potential tweaks that would need to be made for NWA to move to national television, Kamille says that tweaks will always have to be made in order to grow.

“I’m sure there’s gonna have to be tweaks made along the way. But to me, you can only learn those tweaks as you go,” she said. “Like me with the championship. Sometimes you have to take the dive, you know? Into the deep water and learn as you go, so that’s it. I think that we just have to take the chance, see what happens. And then if there needs to be tweaks made, which I’m sure there will be. In any aspect of life, any job you have, you’re gonna always be learning, always be growing. So no different with wrestling and getting a TV deal.”
