The Office’s Rainn Wilson Praises Netflix’s Wrestlers As A Masterpiece

There are a lot of shows based on professional wrestling. Some of the popular titles are GLOW, The Blue Demon, and many more. The most recent addition to this list is Wrestlers. The Netflix Docu-Series recently received huge praise from a popular star from The Office.

The Wrestlers is a docuseries that revolves around the Ohio Valley Wrestling promotion. It is more popularly known by its abbreviation, OVW. The show takes an in-depth look at what takes place behind the scenes at the former WWE Developmental promotion.

Recently, popular actor Rainn Wilson, best known for his role in The Office (US) television series as Dwight Schrute showed his appreciation for the Netflix series. Wilson praised the show and suggested that everyone should watch the show. He also called it a masterpiece.

“People of #Kentucky, of Ohio, of THE WORLD!!! PLEEEEESE Watch #WRESTLERS on Netflix. (Which is, granted, is kind of a confusing, mish-mash graveyard for doc series) – but this is a MASTERPIECE! @OVWrestling @TheWrestlersTV,” Rainn Wilson tweeted.

The Wrestlers’ star Jessie Godderz spoke about the show with WrestleZone

The Wrestlers is currently running on Netflix. It has garnered more fans day by day. Recently, WrestleZone’s Bill Pritchard spoke with Jessie Godderz. Godderz is an OVW veteran. He also played a key role in the promotion.

“I think that everybody’s going to be able to see a bunch of individuals that haven’t given up yet. I think a lot of people have dreams and aspirations. Whether it’s them becoming a doctor, or a lawyer, or a firefighter, or racecar driver, or a professional football player, a professional wrestler. Life kicks you in the teeth enough times to where you give up on ’em. And I think that the depiction that’s going to come across. It’s going to run the gambit of every demographic can see a little bit of themselves and probably one character or another.

“It’s not necessarily like the dynamic that other reality television kind of needs to have, like a good versus evil,” he noted. “This one is, I think everybody’s gonna have an awesome light. And I’m excited, like, wholeheartedly. It’s by far the biggest thing I’ve ever been a part of,” Jessie Godderz said.
