Tony Khan: I Respect MJF For Fighting Through A Hard Injury

Tony Khan has great respect for the fighting champion that MJF has become.

All Elite Wrestling owner Tony Khan recently sat down with Joseph Staszewski of the New York Post. When asked about the fact that MJF recently tweeted out that he has a torn labrum, Khan said he respects Friedman for working with a tough injury.

“He’s injured, and he’s a very determined person, he’s an incredibly hard worker,” Tony Khan said. “He’s become a fighting champion, and he wants to fight, so he’s gonna fight on. … I respect MJF for fighting through a hard injury.”

MJF is not only the champion, but one of the main stars Tony Khan has been focusing on in 2023, leading to a potentially huge media rights deal with WBD in 2024. This is certainly something Khan called a huge milestone for the company.

“A huge milestone for us will be in 2024, we will have our media rights agreements domestically put in place and we have all these great relationships all over the world,” Tony Khan said. “The very lucrative U.S. media rights will be settled in 2024, and that’s very exciting for us.”
