The Hurricane Believes The Current WWE Roster Feels Similar To Loaded Attitude Era

Many wrestling veterans in the world of professional wrestling have currently taken up a backstage role in a wrestling promotion. One such producer is “The Hurricane” Shane Helms who is working for WWE. Recently, he had some positive words for the current roster.

The former WWE Cruiserweight Champion recently took to Twitter to compare the current era with the time when WWE was one of the most popular shows on television. Back then, stars like The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Kevin Nash, Triple H, Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, Scott Hall, and many more were part of the same roster. According to The Hurricane, the current roster is also filled with talents of that stature from back in the early 2000s.

“Imagine trying to get over while a member of the most stacked roster of all time. Just about every major star in the biz was under one roof in this era. Wild times! To be honest, current WWE roster feels similar, so many people hitting their strides at the same time. Love it!!” The Hurricane tweeted.

The Hurricane loves being a producer for WWE

The WWE veteran was once a special guest on GAW TV along with other wrestling veterans such as Mickie James and Victoria. During the episode, Helms mentioned that he enjoys being a producer for the Stamford-based promotion. He also was convinced that he was made for being a producer rather than a wrestler.

“I love [producing]. Strangely enough, I like producing almost as much and sometimes more than working.

“I never thought anything would ever exceed my love for actually being in the ring. That was where I was always most at home, as I’m pretty sure you ladies feel the same way. I just absolutely adored it, and I still do. Just the physical part of that, kind of my body checked out a little while ago. But the producing, man, I absolutely love this job. I might have been made more for this than actually wrestling… When an idea that I come up with and they’re able to utilize that 100%. I get super proud of that,” Helms said.

The Hurricane was the one who came up with Rhea Ripley’s nickname

While speaking in the same interview, the WWE veteran mentioned that his role also involves coming up with catchphrases and other things like that. He then revealed that Helms was the one who came up with Rhea Ripley’s nickname ‘The Eradicator’.

“So, little things like that, talents using moves I came up with or using sayings. I come up with catchphrases or… I came up with ‘[The] Eradicator’ for Rhea Ripley. So, when she won the title at WrestleMania, and they were like ‘The Eradicator,’ I’m like, ‘Yes, that’s so cool.’

“It’s just a little tiny piece of the puzzle. But I said something to somebody recently because they helped me do something and they were like, ‘Yeah, it was just a small thing.’ And I was like, ‘No, brother. It doesn’t matter how small your piece of the puzzle is, the puzzle is not complete without you.’ No matter how successful anybody is, there’s a bunch of little people that helped you get along, helped you get there. So, I don’t mind being a small piece of the puzzle.”

Do you agree with Hurricane that the current roster is as talented as the one in the Attitude Era?
