Report: Seth Rollins Suffered Legitimate Injury On 1/15 WWE RAW

Seth Rollins retained the WWE World Heavyweight Championship by defeating Jinder Mahal on the January 15 episode of WWE RAW. However, he reportedly came out of the match somewhat banged up.

Wade Keller of the Pro Wrestling Torch reports that Seth Rollins suffered a legitimate injury to his left leg late in the match. Keller cites multiple sources backstage at RAW as saying that Rollins was helped in the back, and he eventually put weight on the injured leg. However, he had a noticeable limp. Keller writes that Rollins will be further evaluated to determine the severity of the injury. Additional details are not available at this time.

During the match, the commentary team noted that Rollins started favoring his leg after a dive to the outside. However, Rollins finished the bout, as he pinned Mahal with the Stomp.

Rollins is not currently scheduled to compete at WWE Royal Rumble on January 27. However, both WWE Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania 40 loom large on the horizon.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
