KiLynn King Reveals Plans To Document Her Comeback Journey

Kilynn King may be out of action right now, but she plans to remain fresh in the minds of TNA Wrestling fans.

Last month, KiLynn announced that she had sustained a torn ACL in addition to a sprained LCL and a tweaked meniscus. As a result, King will be sidelined for nine to ten months. During a recent episode of Wilde On, King revealed her plans to keep fans updated on her recovery journey through video documentation.

‘I do think I’m going to be filming everything,” King said. “I’ve always been kind of an open book on social media about my journey, what I’m going through, and stuff like that. I already like to create content all the time, so I think the best outlet for me right now is I’m gonna start filming stuff the good, bad, the ugly, whatever. Just just kind of letting people know what’s going on with me. Just keeping them apprised so that way they feel a part of it.”

Connecting With Fans

“I just like staying connected with the people who give a crap about my career, so I think that’ll be the way to do it for them,” King continued. “I even remember when [TNA] announced the Ultimate X match, a bunch of people tagged me on Twitter. They’re like, ‘Wait why isn’t KiLynn in this?’ I was like, ‘I want to tell you. I’m so sorry.’ It sounds dumb to say, but I don’t want to be forgotten. I think that’s the biggest fear right now going in my head is because I’ve been working so hard to [get to the point of feeling] I matter, I have something to contribute.”

“There was this big fear that when I was about to do all this cool stuff, this happens. I’m like, okay, how story-wise and marketing-wise, how do I make the most out of this really cruddy situation? Everybody likes a good comeback story. I think too having video of it and watching it myself will also kind of encourage me because I always like to look back at old clips and just see where I was and where I’m at now.”

At the end of 2023, TNA Wrestling crowned King as the “One To Watch” in 2024. However, on the same night she filmed a promo for the award, King sustained her aforementioned injury. Initially discouraged by this development, King eventually shifted her perspective into a positive light, reminding herself that viewers can still watch her through her comeback journey.
