AEW Collision Results – March 2, 2024
This week’s episode of AEW Collision kicks off with Buddy Matthews coming to the ring for a match. But Matthews is attacked by Mark Briscoe. The rest of House of Black makes the save, but Briscoe fights back and brawls with Matthews up the ramp to the stage.
Briscoe tried to set Matthews on fire with pyro, but it was stopped by security. The pyro is still set off, but the House of Black were left unharmed.
Swerve Strickland is backstage. Strickland admits he’s disappointed he left his guard down with Hangman Page on Dynamite but says it will never happen again. Strickland tells Samoa Joe he’ll do whatever it takes to become the first African American AEW World Champion.
Dante Martin defeated Bryan Keith and Penta El Zero Miedo to qualify for the All-Star Scramble at AEW Revolution
- Dante Martin hits Bryan Keith with a Frog Splash to secure the pinfall victory.
Mariah May defeated Angelica Risk
- Mariah May hits Angelica Risk with Mayday to win the match via pinfall.
Timeless Toni Storm comes out, and May gets excited and tries to hug her. Storm, however, ducks the hug and asks for a microphone instead. Storm proceeds to call out Deonna Purrazzo.
Toni Storm confronts Deonna Purrazzo on AEW Collision
Deonna Purrzzo comes out, and Storm asks if her things have gone too far between them. Storm says from the bottom of her heart, she loves Purrazzo and her abilities and determination. Storm says she also loves the fact that there’s only room for one, and as long as she lives and breathes, it will never be her.
Deonna Purrazzo says she loves her too. Purrazzo says she loves the fact that Storm’s head is so far up her ass that she’s forgotten that she’s about to lose the thing that started her change, to begin with. Purrazzo says she’s going to break both of Storm’s arms at Revolution.
Storm says goodbye to Purrazzo and kisses her on the cheek, which leads to the two women brawling. Mariah May gets involved and allows Storm to get away as Purrazzo hits Storm Zero on May.
The Acclaimed and Colten Gunn (w/ The Bang Bang Scissor Gang) defeated Dark Order
- Max Caster hits the Mic Drop on Alex Reynolds to score the pinfall victory for his team.
Kris Statlander, Willow Nightingale, and Stokely Hathaway are backstage. Hathaway says the word of today is accountability and that he’s a Whoopi Goldberg stan, and he apologizes to Willow. Nightingale says they all need to get on the same page and kick Skye Blue and Julia Hart’s asses on Zero Hour tomorrow.
Wardlow rants about his match at AEW Revolution
Tony Schiavone is in the ring and brings out Wardlow. Wardlow says it looks like he’s finally gotten someone’s attention around here. Wardlow runs down what he’s done in All Elite Wrestling over the last two years and says he finally gets his shot at the AEW World Heavyweight Championship after winning tomorrow night at Revolution.
Mr. Mayhem says it doesn’t matter who the champion is after Revolution and runs down all three men competing for the championship tomorrow night. This brings out Chris Jericho. Jericho reminds Wardlow that he’s not fighting Swerve, Hangman, or Joe tomorrow at Revolution, he’s facing Chris Jericho, one of the best to ever do this.
Jericho says if he thinks he’s gonna walk over everyone in the All-Star Scramble, he’s got some news for him. The Ocho runs down all of his past accomplishments and reminds Wardlow that he hasn’t won a world title yet.
Chris Jericho says Revolution is a chance for him to get back to being AEW World Champion for a second time because he knows he’s good enough. Jericho questions if people turned on Wardlow because he’s not as good as he thinks he is.
Chris Jericho confronts Wardlow
Wardlow says Jericho is right because he was so close to the top of the mountain, and then he had to take continuous steps down, and it ate away at him and ruined his personal life. Wardlow says sitting at home for three months helped remind him of who he is, and picked himself up and put himself back together and he’s here to remind everyone of who he is and challenges Jericho to get into the ring.
Jericho says he’ll come to the ring, take the rocket and shove it up his ass right now. Powerhouse Hobbs shows up and attacks Jericho from behind. Hobbs asks Wardlow if he remembers who he is as they go backstage.
Serena Deeb is backstage and says she’s been undefeated since returning to All Elite Wrestling, and she feels unstoppable. Deeb says no one has challenged her since returning and says for anyone listening, if they want to step to her in the ring, she’ll prove to them why she’s the final boss.
Private Party defeated Christopher Daniels and Matt Sydal
- Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett interfere to help Private Party score the pinfall victory.
A video package plays, hyping the match between Bryan Danielson and Eddie Kingston at AEW Revolution.
Thunder Rosa defeated Cassandra Golden
- Thunder Rosa locks Cassandra Golden in a seated Camel Clutch to win the match via submission.
A recap airs from AEW Dynamite with Matthew and Nicholas Jackson trying to track down Sting.
It’s time…for the main event!
Roderick Strong, Brian Cage, Killswitch, and Christian Cage (w/ Prince Nana, Nick Wayne, and Shayna Wayne) defeated Orange Cassidy, HOOK, Trent Beretta, and Daniel Garcia
- Killswitch hits Trent Beretta with a Northern Lariat to score the pinfall victory for his team.
The two teams continue to brawl following the match as AEW Collision goes off the air.
