Kevin Nash On Sting: He’s Always Been Very Humble, He’s Always Been Very Kind

Former AEW World Tag Team Champion Sting has officially retired from professional wrestling. Recently, Kevin Nash shared his thoughts on the WWE Hall of Famer.

While speaking on the Kliq This podcast, Nash talked about spending time with Sting and how he was the top guy in WCW.

“You always remember… I talked earlier about Mike Rotunda. But Steve (Sting’s real name) always would throw like a roll-away bed in his room. And he let me sleep on it for free. Just he was… He was good to me. Him and Lex sometimes would pick up lunches when we’re on the road because they’re making cash and I wasn’t. The guys that are the partyers hang out together and the guys that go to the gym hang out together. They were the gym guys. And on top of that, when I broke into the business, I trained at Lex and Steve’s gym. Main Event Fitness in Atlanta. And my wife did also. He was our star when I was there the first time. Flair was his foil but Steve was by far the number one guy… He’s always been very humble, he’s always been very kind.”

Sting was smart about partying

While speaking in the same episode, Kevin Nash also mentioned that Sting doesn’t have any stories about him being a ‘party-animal’ because he was very smart about it.

“There’s two Stings. There’s the Sting now. And there’s a Sting before Sting found Christ. There was another Sting that was… Like to have… It wasn’t insane but he’s never been a stupid ass. He’s always been smart. But he partied a little harder. [Never heard road stories about Sting because] He was always really smart. If he was going to have cocktails someplace, he would be at a Marriott that he was staying at. He wasn’t going to be driving up and down the road drinking beers and stuff. Just wasn’t that kind of a guy,” Kevin Nash said.
