Elijah Reveals Who He’d Like To Work With In AEW And TNA

Elijah understands that there are plenty of options for him outside of WWE in 2024.

Former WWE Superstar Elijah was a recent guest on Monopoly Events. When asked which company is most enticing to him right now between All Elite Wrestling, TNA, and New Japan, Elijah said each option has their advantages and appeals to him in different ways.

“Every one of them has their advantages and just appeals to me, just from a personal standpoint,” Elijah said. “I think it’d be cool to go to Japan and work for New Japan, just to show something that people might have not expected. They might associate me in a certain way, and I would just love to just kind of blow that expectation away.

“I feel like if you picture Elias or Elijah in New Japan, it’s not an immediate, obvious connection. But then I feel like if I’m put in that environment, ‘Oh, hey, guess that? This can work out too.’ The same with AEW, or TNA, I mean, I love the idea.

“I have plenty of ideas about how to evolve my character and take it to the next step, and I feel like you need a TV audience in order to show that. So we’ll have to see what kind of opportunities come my way and which way we go, but all three of them are very appealing.”

When asked who he’d like to work within those companies, Elijah had quite a few good ideas.

“Storyline wise…AEW’s House of Black, I think are awesome,” Elijah admitted. “I love The Righteous Guys. Of course, Adam Copeland, Christian…FTR. There’s a ton of guys in AEW…somebody like me and Kenny Omega, I just, in my mind, could have an awesome match that people wouldn’t expect. Just things like that, there’s just so many other things out there to explore story-wise, that I think are great.

“In TNA? Moose is amazing. Steve Maclin is…I think he’s come from, I’ve known him from NXT times, and to see him kind of get his opportunity there and flourish blows me away, and I’d love to mix it up with him in my own way there. Anywhere you go, you give me that kind of opportunity with a spotlight and a story. I think you’re going to make some magic for sure.”

When asked about the status of his “brother” Ezekiel, Elijah said he’s still on the road to recovery.

“Everybody wants to know how’s Zeke doing,” Elijah said. “That’s everybody’s main concern, it seems. For everybody out there, he’s still recovering. We’re still hoping for a solid recovery one of these days. I know in his heart, he’d love to be back out there in front of all the fans that fell in love with Zeke. But in the meantime, he’s on the road to recovery.
