Asuka is reportedly dealing with an injury, but the severity is not known.
Per Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Asuka hurt her knee during the March 15 episode of WWE SmackDown. Johnson writes that “The Empress of Tomorrow” was pulled from the weekend live events out of caution, and she will be undergoing testing to confirm whether she can work through the issue or if it is a more significant injury. Additional details are unclear at this time.
Asuka is one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions with Kairi Sane. They won the titles by defeating Katana Chance and Kayden Carter on the January 26 episode of WWE SmackDown. The duo has been featured on WWE programming as part of Damage CTRL.
