Thunder Rosa: I Never Lost The AEW Women’s Title, I’m Coming Back For What’s Mine

Thunder Rosa was forced to relinquish the AEW Women’s World Championship, and she missed over a year of action due to injury. Rosa returned in December, and she will be in the spotlight on the March 20 episode of AEW Dynamite. There, she and Deonna Purrazzo will face AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm and Mariah May.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Thunder Rosa discussed her return and how it has been going so far.

“I think that a lot of people forget that I left as a champion, and that I literally was there all the time, just people didn’t see me. It’s just crawling and scratching for what is yours again, and I’m gonna do it again. I have an opportunity now to face Toni Storm and Mariah. I think she’s just an opportunistic woman that saw something in Toni. She just needs an opportunity to be on TV every week, which is the smartest thing to do.

“I’m not knocking on her. But they’re in trouble. I don’t have nothing to lose anymore, so when I’m coming, I’m coming hungry, I’m coming a little bit more violent than I was before. I have a goal, and my goal is not to just look pretty and talk nonsense on TV. It’s to handle business.

Thunder Rosa: I’m Feeling 100% Myself Now

When asked whether she feels like she’s back to where she was, Rosa stated that she is 100% herself again. Rosa stated that it took a bit to get back up to speed, but she feels dialed in again.

“No, I think I’m feeling 100% myself now,” she said. “I had a booking on Sunday in Canada, and I was like, totally dialed in. I was like, yeah, I’m back. It’s taken me, match by match for me to find myself again, and I’m back, and I feel it, and people feel it too in the ring.”

Thunder Rosa: I’m Coming For What’s Mine

Thunder Rosa then noted that she never lost the title. She also pointed out that Toni Storm has never beaten her, so she is coming for what’s hers.

“I haven’t wrestled Toni in a long time, and she’s never beaten me, so I’m coming for what is rightfully mine, and I never lost,” Thunder Rosa said. “I need to get that opportunity again, just to show the world who the f*ck I am. Because a lot of people forget who I am and why I was brought to AEW. I feel like it’s been taking a minute for me to get back for people to say, ‘Oh shit, yeah, I remember who Thunder Rosa was.'”

WrestleZone will have coverage of AEW Dynamite as it airs on Wednesday.
