AEW Dynamite Viewership Decreases On 3/27, Demo Also Drops

AEW Dynamite saw a decrease in viewership on March 27.

According to Wrestlenomics, 747,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, drawing a 0.23 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is down from last week’s episode, when 800,000 viewers tuned in. The demo also dropped from last week‘s episode, which also drew a 0.27 rating in the same demographic.

What happened on AEW Dynamite this week?

This week’s show kicked off with Will Ospreay defeating Katsuyori Shibata in an excellent matchup from their rematch in New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

Elsewhere on the show, Best Friends and the Young Bucks both advanced to the semi-finals of the AEW World Tag Team Title Tournament.

Willow Nightingale won a four-way to earn the right to challenge Julia Hart at Dynasty. Mercedes Moné was at ringside for the match doing commentary.

In the main event, Swerve Strickland defeated Konosuke Takeshita to claim the number one contendership of Samoa Joe’s AEW World Championship at Dynasty.
