How Will Damian Priest Celebrate His Money In The Bank Cash-In?

Damian Priest is the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Does he have any plans to celebrate his WrestleMania title win?

“So I don’t have anything planned for at the arena,” Priest told WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard at Friday’s WrestleMania 40 media day.

“We are in Philadelphia, and Paddy’s Pub from It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia is here and we could go,” Finn Balor quipped. “I’m still looking [for it]. But a few people have Tweeted me some addresses, and I’m gonna check them all out Sunday night. [Taps Priest] C’mon, let’s celebrate!”

“Hey man, that could be an option,” Priest replied. “That sounds good to me.”

Damian Priest successfully cashed in his Money In The Bank contract on Sunday night. He beat Drew McIntyre, who had won the title from Seth Rollins moments prior. McIntyre taunted CM Punk at the commentary table, and Punk ended up attacking McIntyre. Priest used the opportunity to run down to ringside and cash in, swiftly beating McIntyre before running up the ramp to celebrate with the rest of Judgment Day.

Getting goosebumps

With his win at WrestleMania, Damian Priest became the second-ever Puerto Rican world champion in WWE. During a recent interview with Josh Martinez, Priest shared his excitement about potentially reaching this feat in the near future.

“I get goosebumps [thinking about it],” Priest said. “That’s the highest honor in this business for representation. For me, it’s a necessity. I think where we are right now and what we’ve accomplished in the short amount of time, especially myself, I’ve been here and trying to represent, that would be the icing on the cake. I feel like it’s needed.”

WWE’s first and only Puerto Rican world champion was Pedro Morales. His reign as WWWF Heavyweight Champion spanned an incredible 1,027 days.
