Several WWE talents reportedly changed their accommodations during WrestleMania 42 week in Las Vegas, as concerns grew over fan access and safety at the official hotel.
According to Fightful Select, the move came after increasing issues at the company-designated hotel, where talent found themselves dealing with constant fan encounters — sometimes before they could even step out of the elevator.
WWE talents reportedly move hotels amid WrestleMania 42 security concerns
Reports indicate that the primary hotel, believed to be part of a major casino like Park MGM or MGM Grand, had minimal additional security beyond standard staff.
With no way to control foot traffic, fans reportedly filled lobbies and waited near elevators. This created what some described as a “powder keg” situation.
This led to talent being frequently approached for photos and autographs — not just in public areas, but in spaces usually considered private during a packed WrestleMania schedule. Some stars reportedly felt their “home for the week” had turned into an unscheduled meet-and-greet, and not the kind you can book on a poster.
The situation wasn’t without incident. Reports noted that CM Punk had a heated interaction with a fan. Damian Priest allegedly stepped in to assist a fellow talent being overwhelmed. Elsewhere, Drew McIntyre publicly asked fans to respect boundaries, particularly when it came to private spaces like gyms and restaurants.
Je’Von Evans acknowledged the challenge. He stated on the Club 520 podcast that while fan interactions can be meaningful, “it is very difficult” to manage during such a busy week. Jade Cargill echoed that sentiment, noting the overwhelming nature of fans waiting in hotel lobbies while still appreciating their support.
As WrestleMania week continued to grow into a citywide attraction, this situation highlighted a balancing act between fan access and performer privacy. With multiple events spread across Las Vegas from April 18–19, WWE could reconsider and come up with a better management strategy next time.
