Damian Priest Says His WrestleMania Title Win Is A Life’s Work

WrestleMania 40 has come to an end. At the end of WrestleMania Sunday fans got to witness multiple new champions. Bayley defeated IYO SKY to win the WWE Women’s Championship. The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes finally finished his story in an epic main event. The night kicked off with Drew McIntyre defeating Seth Rollins to finally win a WWE World Heavyweight Championship in front of an audience. But sadly his championship celebration did not last long as he would have wanted to. CM Punk attacked him and allowed Damian Priest to run in and cash in his Money in the Bank contract. The Judgment Day star hit the South of Heaven and pinned McIntyre to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Following his win, Cathy Kelly caught up with the newly crowned champion. Damian Priest mentioned that winning this championship was his life’s work and was his lifelong dream as well.

“I feel like a champion, Cathy. No matter how long it took me. To me, it is a life’s work. Life’s dream. I did it. It doesn’t matter what anybody said, I did this. I am the Champion of Monday Night Raw. I am the World Heavyweight Champion,” Damian Priest said.

Recently, Bill Pritchard of Wrestlezone also got a chance to interview Damian Priest during WrestleMania 40 Media Day. During the interview, Pritchard asked Priest about his celebration plans after successfully cashing in his Money in the Bank contract.

“So I don’t have anything planned for at the arena,” Damian Priest said.

The Archer of Infamy also kept his options open, Finn Balor also shared some suggestions which seemed to have interested Priest.
