NJPW Wrestling World Results (4/14): New NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Champions

On April 14, New Japan Pro-Wrestling held their Wrestling World event from Zepp New Taipei in Taiwan. The show featured a one-night tournament for the vacant NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Championship.

The results, courtesy of Cagematch, are as follows:

  • Pre-Show: Touyuu defeats Axe Wang
  • NEVER Openweight Six Man Tag Team Title Tournament Semi-Final Match: Hiroshi Tanahashi, Oleg Boltin & Toru Yano defeat United Empire (Callum Newman, Francesco Akira & Great-O-Khan)
  • NEVER Openweight Six Man Tag Team Title Tournament Semi-Final Match: House Of Torture (EVIL, SHO & Yoshinobu Kanemaru) defeat Los Ingobernables de Japon (BUSHI, Shingo Takagi & Yota Tsuji)
  • Satoshi Kojima & Tiger Mask defeat El Desperado & Shoma Kato
  • Starlight Kid defeats HANAKO
  • IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title Contenders Match: DOUKI defeats Kosei Fujita
  • IWGP Tag Team Championship: Bishamon (Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI) (c) defeat Just 5 Guys (SANADA & Yuya Uemura)
  • NEVER Openweight Six Man Tag Team Title Tournament Final: Hiroshi Tanahashi, Oleg Boltin & Toru Yano defeat House Of Torture (EVIL, SHO & Yoshinobu Kanemaru) to win the vacant titles.

With the win, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Toru Yano, and Boltin Oleg won the NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Championship. The titles had been vacated when Kazuchika Okada departed NJPW and signed with AEW.
