Battle Royal To Crown New WWE Women’s World Champion Set For 4/22 RAW

WWE will crown a new champion on the April 22 episode of WWE RAW.

On the April 15 episode of RAW, Rhea Ripley relinquished the WWE Women’s World Championship due to injury. WWE then announced that a new champion would be crowned on the April 22 episode of RAW, but further details were not provided.

During the April 19 episode of WWE SmackDown, WWE announced that a Battle Royal would crown the new Women’s World Champion on RAW. Becky Lynch, Liv Morgan, Nia Jax, Natalya, and other stars were shown in the announcement. This seemingly confirmed that they would be in the match.

Ripley held the title for 380 days. She defeated Charlotte Flair to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 39. It was later renamed the Women’s World Championship. She last defended it against Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 40.

WrestleZone will have coverage of RAW as it airs on April 22.
