Zilla Fatu Doesn’t Want To Break The Family Cycle Of Competing In WWE

Zilla Fatu is thankful for those who helped build the “family business.”

The Samoan is a member of the legendary Fatu family in wrestling. With family members like Roman Reigns, The Usos and Tama Tonga already in the WWE, he has big hopes for his future in the wrestling business.

Zilla Fatu spoke with Joey Franchize about his family in wrestling. He was asked how it feels being a part of his family, following the incredible success of the Bloodline in the WWE.

Zilla noted that it feels good, but he also paid respect to the wrestlers that came before and built the platform for himself and his immediately family members.

“It feels good, and I’m happy, you know. And I feel like we all deserve it because I got people that came before us. You gotta give people that came before me, you gotta give them their flowers, you know? Like, Afa and Sika, like, uh, Snuka and The Rock and Peter Maivia. Those guys really started this foundation for our family, you feel me? And then, obviously, The Rock, Rikishi, my uncle Yokozuna.”

“They all took it to a whole ‘nother level. And then you got Roman, The Usos, the Bloodline stuff that’s going on. They’re taking it to a whole ‘nother level. Yeah, so we all, it’s just, it’s really a family business, like, for real. And I’m just so happy and blessed, you know, to be a part of this. You know, and I’m coming up too, like I say, I’m in the indies, but I’m not in no rush.”

Zilla Fatu: I Don’t Want To Be First In My Family To Go To AEW

Zilla Fatu was asked where he wants to go next in wrestling. He replied that WWE was his goal, and he doesn’t want to be the first in his family to make the switch to AEW/

However, he notes that his next move has to make sense, and he has walked a different path to his cousins to get where he is today.

“The WWE, you know, that’s the main one, you know? Because, like I said, back to what I was saying with my family, my family has a long history with WWE. So, you know, at the same time, I don’t want to be the first Fatu or Anoa’i to go to WWE. I don’t want to break that cycle, you feel me? But like I say, it just gotta make sense, you know? Because everybody’s journey is different. My journey is different, you feel me? I got it, my story way different from Solo’s, from The Usos, from Roman, from Jacob, you know? So, my story, my story just, I got a whole another chapter.”
